TO LEARN OR NOT TO LEARN: IT RADIO NETWORK FEATURES INTERIVEW WITH SABA SOFTWARE EXEC
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA August 14, 2000 -- IT Radio Network, the voice behind eBusiness, is featuring in-depth interviews with Kim Woodward, Director of Product Marketing for Saba Software (Nasdaq: SABA).
In the interview, Woodward discussed the changing face of the eLearning landscape, building intranet infrastructure for companies and the move into the B-to-C market.
According to Woodward, eLearning isnt just online learning anymore. "One of the things that were seeing is a transition to broaden the definition of eLearning to mean online access to all forms of learning," said Woodward. "This really takes into account the different learning styles and optimizes the delivery methods to the people throughout an extended enterprise."
Woodward also discussed the world of company wide Intranet eLearning, and why Saba has an advantage over companies who develop their own infrastructures. "I think the key difference is that these companies are not in learning as their core business," said Woodward. "We do learning management systems and we automate the process thats required. We are experts in this and can really provide that as a service to companies whose business in really not directly in the learning area."
