Sky Radio Selects The Hilton Waikoloa Village As The Hawaiian Destination Of The Year
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA May 22, 2003 -- Sky Radio Network Inc. has awarded the Hilton Waikoloa Village, located on Hawaiis Big Island, its prestigious 2003 Hawaiian Destination of the Year Award. The Hilton Waikoloa was selected by Sky Radios travel judges after reviewing 6 semi-finalists.
According to Sky Radio CEO and Executive Producer Marc Holland, Hilton scored first in seven of ten criteria, including customer service, family friendliness, brand experience, dining, spa facilities, and value.
We are extremely honored and proud to be chosen by Sky Radio as its Best Hawaiian Destination. Its our goal to have guests go home with a true Hawaiian experience and not just a great tan, said Dieter Seeger, General Manager of the Big Islands Hilton Waikoloa Village.
What really pushed Hilton over the top this year was the friendliness of the staff, the impeccable setting, and the dolphin experience. Ive never seen an attraction as popular, profitable, and worthwhile as Dolphin Quest®, said Holland.
2003 has been a down year for both leisure and business travel, added Holland, Yet rather than cutting back on staff and services, the Hilton operated at close to 100%, and the guests we interviewed felt nothing but the spirit of Aloha.
